Highlights of this week include:

  • Started high level planning for next quarter work
  • Working on building SSO UI log in for SaaS users
  • Working to refactor backup and restore document of Automate HA
  • Improved documentation for 4.x upgrade journey
  • Modified banner content on Automate HA documentation pages
  • Fixed pipeline changes to ensure that CLI improvements work properly

Chef Infra Client

Hello folks! For the Infra client we are looking into fixing the pipelines. All of the issues we previously identified with OpenSUSE, Solaris and Aix are currently fixed.
We are currently seeing some issues locally in building and installing the chef gem, however do not see those issues in the pipeline. Trying to figure that out.
Once we have resolved all of the issues related to the builds we will start merging the PR's from the community that need to be a part of the GA release.

Hi All! Here is what Workstation, Community Tools & Omnibus folks are working on

Workstation

  • We released v22.10.1013 this week.
  • Continuing to address the post-install and packaging issues to have a PR readied for the upcoming GUI app.
  • Pending on development front - search and sort in the cookbook list view

Omnibus

  • Reviewing diagrams and basic dev-documentation in omnibus.
  • Troubleshooting script hang in omnibus project to build universal macOS package for infra client.

Hello from Sous Chefs!

Here's the list of new releases in the past week:

  • docker - 10.2.1: Sort container volume_binds to prevent erroneous container re-deploys
  • docker - 10.2.2: Fix arguments to generate_json in docker_image_prune resource
  • grafana - 10.0.5: Set grafana_config_database database_name to translate to name
  • grafana - 10.0.6: Correct config_ldap_group_mapping documentation file name
  • grafana - 10.1.0: Remove deep_sort on ldap group_mappings

Cinc Updates

Hello from the Cinc Project!

  • Build pipeline updates

  • Continued testing of building updated omnibus docker images using the cinc-omnibus cookbook

  • Created omnibus-toolchain-3.0.0 rpm for EL9 on ppc64le (upstream doesn't currently have one built)

  • Updated various packages and omnibus-toolchain to 3.0.0 on MacOS/Windows platform builders

  • Cinc Client 18 RC / Cinc Workstation

  • Once new omnibus images are built, we will work on a build for these
