Openstack, chef and unattended winddows

Hi all,
i’m quite new to chef and i would like to ask to everyone one important (for me
of course) question:

I have an openstack server that uses VmWare hypervisor (ESXi) to create
istances of my VMs (all windows istances).
I want use chef to connect to my openstack to create istances of my windows VM.
To complicate all the scenario, my windows istances are unattended windows
installation that i have to configure at runtime.

Is it possible to do this with Chef?
There’s some link, tutorial or somewhat else could help me to understand how do
it?

Thank to all.
Giovanni

Hi Giovanni,

there might be a knife-vsphere plugin, but I don't know if it can create
instances.

You could alternatively look at Vagrant and the vagrant-vsphere plugin (or
vagrant-openstack maybe?).
