Chef Server 12.16.9 Released

Ohai Chefs,

This is a belayed release announcement for 12.16.9. This has been available on downloads.chef.io for a few days. Apologies for the delayed release announcement.

This version of Chef Server has two minor fixes for the PostgreSQL upgrade process:

  • Ensure that the disk has the required disk space before starting the PostgreSQL upgrade.

  • Make pg_upgrade timeout configurable for users with large databases. Also, increase the default timeout to 2 hours.

Additionally, a new chef-server-ctl command bifrost-cleanup has been added. This command is intended to help in rare support situations for large installations.

This was a typo. No climbing equipment was involved in the release of Chef Server 12.16.9.
