We are delighted to announce the availability of version 21.1.233 of Chef Workstation.
This release of Chef Workstation includes a small number of bug fixes and improvements from the previous 21.1.222 release.
Chef Infra Client
Chef Infra Client has been updated from 16.9.16 to 16.9.20, which resolves issues from installing packages on newer FreeBSD releases and resolves errors from using the audit cookbook for compliance scans.
Chef InSpec
Chef InSpec has been updated from 4.24.26 to 4.24.32, which reduces the size of some report data to avoid failures from pushing reports larger than 4MB to Chef Automate.
kitchen-google
The kitchen-google plugin has been updated to use the latest version of Google's SDK with better support for newer services.
knife-ec2
The knife-ec2 plugin has been updated to resolve an error where an EBS volume would be created when using the ephemeral
option instead of attaching an ephemeral volume, and to resolve failures when bootstrapping Windows nodes if a password has not been provided. Thanks for reporting these issues @DoctorOgg and @jerseyfoxcom!
