In the current week, the team worked on:

  • Automate HA soft launch package supporting On-Prem systems has been released with Automate 4.0.54
  • Pagination support is now available for ListControl API
  • New feature to lock user on multiple failed login attempts has been added
  • Airgap bundle of latest version of Automate can now be downloaded from https://pacakges.chef.io/airgap_bundle/current/automate/latest.aib
  • Updated URL-parse to 1.5.10 (Solves CVE-2022-0686, CVE-2022-0691, CVE-2022-0639, CVE-2022-0512, CVE-2021-3664)
  • Updated minimize to v1.2.6 (Solves CVE-2021-44906)
  • Updated compliance profiles (Postgres 11 v1.0.0)

  • Investigating an on-prem data migration bug when updating on-prem services
  • Investigating supervisor strategies for ARM and we are experimenting with a concept of "native packages" See

  • Investigating supervisor census/IPC bugs in recent builds that manifest in SASS builder
  • Adding end to end tests for builder worker
  • Released new habitat (1.6.513) binaries built with refreshed core dependencies including a studio with refreshed core packages

  • Fixed a bug in kitchen-inspec in which waivers were claimed to be implemented but were not.
  • Investigating a bug with the processes resource on Windows in which it does not return all processes
  • Working on setting up license_scout in inspec and train repos
  • Started work on adding resource_id support to all core resources

  • Working to add support for multiple networks in kitchen-vcenter.
  • Resolving a ruby gem dependency related bundle install error in Workstation build
