Hey Folks! Thanks for joining me for another community meeting. Let’s kick things off with a few updates from DevRel:

First and foremost, our very own @Jeff Strauss will be hosting a new show called "How To Human" with Sam and Nichol from other business units in Progress. Let’s show them some support and tune in to their first show tomorrow at 10am ET on Twitch

Next, we’ve finally fixed the link to join the Community Slack! Now you can join from Join the Chef Community on Slack | Chef Community and you won’t have to use a Progress email to do so! Yaaay!!!

Lastly, our Community Advisory Council (CAC) meeting will take place at 1pm ET today! The focus today will be on Community Summits. So grab a drink and some snacks and join us on Zoom after this meeting. Here’s the link: Launch Meeting - Zoom

  • Updated compliance profiles: CIS Rocky Linux v1.0.0, CIS RHEL 7 v3.1.1, CIS Amazon linux2 v2.0.0, CIS MS Sharepoint 2016
  • Working to create command line to rotate certificates for OpenSearch nodes
  • Working to rotate Chef Infra Server certificates from Automate CLI of Bastion system
  • Improving proxy pipeline in verify private pipeline
  • Working to support Tokyo version of ServiceNow for Chef Automate Integration app and Chef Automate Incident Creation app on ServiceNow Store
  • Working to ensure that logs of OpenSearch and PostgreSQL are available at a central file path in each node
  • Working to fetch existing config from each node in Automate HA before upgrade

  • Chef Infra Client 18.1.x - Wrapping up fix on FIPS issue, hope to be ready to merge very soon (cleaning up changes and validating the build currently)
  • Chef 16 - Still putting finishing touches on getting Chef 16 ready to release and then we'll focus back on getting Chef 17 up to speed.

  • Working on applying various fixes for building 15.3
  • This will also include a fix for the gather-logs command which was broken on Cinc Server

Cinc Client

  • Will work on building the latest 18.x release and hopefully get it out later today or tomorrow
