Just in case you didn’t catch it in #announcements:
Downloads are moving, but **knife**, **mixlib-install**, and the Omnitruck APIs are not being impacted at all by these changes. The Go Live date has been pushed back. The powers that be are still hashing out the details, but rest assured as soon as I know the new date, I’ll communicate it to the group.

Mark your calendars, the next Community Advisory Council meeting is next Thursday, October 13th directly after the Community Meeting.

Hello community

Highlights of this week include:

  • Released Automate 4.3.0
  • Improved upgrade journey to Automate 4.3.0 from 3.0.49
  • Improved CLI messages while upgrading to Automate 4.3.0
  • Fixed a bug related to using AWS S3 bucket access and secret key while deploying HA on AWS infrastructure
  • Cleaned up code related to upgrade and clean-up commands
  • Automation of backup configuration during on-prem deployment

Not much to say. we've been helping out with a couple of customer bugs, but mainly the InSpec team has been occupied with an internal project.

Sous Chefs

Hello from Sous Chefs!

Here's the list of new releases in the past week:

  • lvm - 6.1.1: Fix parsing of output from blkid in libraries/provider_lvm_logical_volume.rb due to different behavior under busybox (e.g., running in hab effortless)
  • lvm - 6.1.2: Update chef-ruby-lvm-attrib gem to 0.3.11
  • unbound - 3.0.1: Add missing fallback-enable setting to config_authority_zone

We also did some upgrades in our auto-release infrastructure which we think is working (I will be checking on that later today)

Cinc Updates

Hello from the Cinc Project!

  • Created cinc-omnibus cookbook in Sous Chefs and have an draft initial PR in place

  • Working through the issues when using this cookbook inside of docker for building images we'll eventually use

  • Upgraded various components on our MacOS builders

  • Prepping for a Cinc Client 18 RC release once everything above is done
